CORCORAN, Minn. (WCCO) – After being found underwater and unconscious in a pond in Corcoran, Minn., an 11-year-old boy was pronounced dead at North Memorial Hospital, police say.

At 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a near-drowning on the 23000 block of County Road 10 in Corcoran.

Two young brothers from St. Paul were visiting a farm with their family when one sibling alerted an adult that his brother needed help in the pond.

First responders provided CPR and the sheriff’s office is investigating the incident.
