Arthur Murray Dance Celebrates 100 Years At MOA
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) -- Kick up your heels as Arthur Murray Dance Centers celebrate their 100th anniversary at the Mall of America.
Arthur Murray professionals will perform dances from various eras Thursday evening in the Bloomington mall's rotunda.
Guests will be encouraged to take part in dance lessons. Open dancing starts at 8 p.m.
The first Arthur Murray Franchised School of Dance opened in Minneapolis in 1938. Arthur Murray now has more than 250 franchised schools in 17 countries.
Mayor R.T. Rybak has proclaimed Thursday Arthur Murray Day in Minneapolis.
