MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Phil Pritchard is the curator of the Hockey Hall of Fame, but hockey loyalists know him better as the man who travels around with the Stanley Cup.
The Los Angeles Kings won it this year, and each player from the championship team gets a chance to take Lord Stanley’s Cup to their hometown for at least one day. It’s a great opportunity for the game’s loyalists to get up close and personal with one of the most famed trophies in sports.
Pritchard took a break in his busy schedule Wednesday night to talk with WCCO Radio about his job, how he got it and reveal some funny things he’s seen over the years while touring with various Stanley Cup champions.
