The statue, a 5 foot tall panda bear that weighs about 100 pounds, was reported stolen at about 9:30 p.m. on July 15. The statue had been bolted to the cement at Wilshire Park Elementary School on the 3600 block of Highcrest Road.

The panda suffered some damage as a result of the robbery. School and district officials said they will go over surveillance video in an attempt to identify a suspect. St. Anthony Police said the incident is still under investigation.
