E.J. Henderson Joins Mayor's Fight Against Illegal Guns

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Former Minnesota Vikings linebacker E.J. Henderson will join Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak in his fight against illegal gun violence in the city.

Henderson and Rybak will release a public service announcement on Monday that calls on residents to report illegal guns in an effort to protect the city's youth.

The public service announcement was produced by Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

Rybak is planning to also announce that he has asked Minneapolis attorney Andy Luger to conduct a review of the work that Minneapolis Youth Violence Prevention has done and the progress of Blueprint for Action -- five years after those efforts began to reduce youth violence in Minneapolis.

The 3 p.m. press conference will be held at the North Commons Park, 1801 James Ave. N. in Minneapolis.
