DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Former Minnesota Gov. and potential Mitt Romney running mate Tim Pawlenty will be in Ohio for a pair of campaign events.
The Romney campaign says Pawlenty will be at the Dublin Pub in Dayton, followed Monday afternoon by a Clark County GOP event in Springfield. He’ll be joined by Rep. Mike Turner, R-Dayton.
The Dayton stop is among events around the country highlighting a statement by President Barack Obama that the Romney campaign says showed the president doesn’t credit entrepreneurs for building their own businesses. Obama has responded with an ad saying his words were wrongly taken out of context.
Ohio Sen. Rob Portman will be at a rally Monday in Lancaster, Pa. He and Pawlenty are often mentioned among top VP contenders.
