MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 22-year-old Wisconsin woman suffered life-threatening injuries Tuesday morning after her car collided with a semi, authorities said.

The crash happened shortly after 11 a.m. on Interstate 94 near Hammond, Wis., according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

The department said Emily Sadowski, of Green Bay, Wis., was transported to Regions Hospital.

Sadowski was driving a Subaru Forester east on I-94 when her Forester crossed the median and crashed into a semi.

The semi’s driver, 47-year-old Lexie Aiken, suffered no injuries.

No word was given as to why Sadowski’s Forester crossed the median; the crash is under investigation.
