WILLMAR, Minn. (WCCO) — An 82-year-old man has pleaded guilty to charges of shooting a Minnesota teacher to death following an altercation.

Delbert Huber, 81, of Burbank Township, was accused of shooting 43-year-old Timothy Larson last year after a confrontation at a farm owned by Larson’s family.

Police say Huber’s son, Timothy Huber, was also at the Kandiyohi County farm. The two were accused of not reporting the shooting until more than 12 hours after it happened.

According to court documents, Delbert Huber shot Larson over $50 and some missing farm parts.

On Friday, Delbert Huber pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. His sentencing was scheduled for September.

Larson was a beloved teacher of special needs students at St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West.
