St. Paul Man Dies After Friday Shooting

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) — A St. Paul man has died and another remains in custody as a result of a Friday afternoon shooting, police say.

Just before 1 p.m. on Friday, St. Paul officers responded to a shooting at the intersection of Cypress Street and Wakefield Avenue.

Emergency responders found Aung Thu Bo, 19, critically wounded. He died Saturday morning.

Investigators discovered another man, who had suffered a gunshot wound to his arm. Police later determined that he, Steve Emanual Lewis, 26 of St. Paul, was suspected of shooting Bo.

The incident does not appear to be random, police say.
