2 Injured After Vehicle Goes Into Woods, Crashes

PLYMOUTH, Minn. (WCCO) — Two people were taken to the hospital after an overnight crash in Plymouth.

Sgt. Bob Topp, of the Plymouth Police Department, said police responded to the crash around 10:45 p.m. to a cul de sac at Fernbrook Lane and 51st Avenue North. The initial report stated a suburban drove through the cul de sac, into the woods and finally crashed down an embankment.

Topp said there were conflicting reports of how many occupants were in the vehicle but said he’s confident it was only two.

One person was found outside the vehicle, and the other was found inside. Their conditions are not known.

The crash is being investigated. Police say they don’t know if alcohol was a factor.
