Catching Up With Former Vikings Coach Les Steckel

MANKATO, Minn. (WCCO) – A familiar face returned to Minnesota Vikings training camp recently after nearly a 20-year absence.

Les Steckel became the Vikings head coach in 1984 after Bud Grant retired, but the stint only lasted one season. The Vikings went 3-13 and he was fired.

WCCO-TV took a few minutes to catch up with Steckel on a recent day at Vikings training camp in Mankato. Check out the video for the full story.
