MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A two-day team running event that will send racers across Minnesota starts Friday morning in Winona.
The Ragnar Relay will send runners over 200 miles along the Mississippi River and end up in Minneapolis on Saturday. Most teams feature up to 12 runners, with each runner doing an average of three legs.
Many participants add fun to the event by dressing up in creative costumes. The Ragnar Relay is in its sixth year, and this year there are 324 teams and more than 3,400 runners. The event is sponsored by Nordic Track.
