Over 50 And Talented? Time To Strut Your Stuff

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- If you're over the age of 50 and can showcase some talent, listen up.

Whether your play an instrument, sing, or stand on your head -- the Strut Your Stuff Talent Contest wants you.

For an idea on what to expect, meet Ellen Janski.

"I'm going to be 70 with 16 grandchildren," she said.

And yet she also can do handstands.

If you can't stand on your head, that's OK.

Last year's first prize winner wrote and played his own music.

Mike Frain has been playing since he was 12, but it wasn't until he was in his 60s that he became a winner.

"I won airline tickets," he said.

The contest is open to all Minnesota and Wisconsin residents who are 50 years or older, and finalists will perform during the fall 50+ PrimeTime Living Expo, taking place at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds Grandstand Building on Sept. 22 and 23.
