ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) — A wild winter event is coming back to St. Paul. City officials have confirmed that the Red Bull Crashed Ice event will be returning to the Capitol city this winter.
According to reports, the event is slated for Jan. 24-26 and will likely once again take place adjacent the Cathedral.
Last winter, the three-day competition flooded downtown with tens of thousands of visitors. The event brought in about $20 million for the local economy last year.
More than 100 athletes from around the world skated and jumped down a twisting, 1,400-foot-long track full of bumps and obstacles.
