MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Minneapolis man, 50, pleaded guilty Wednesday to distributing child pornography in November of last year and to possessing more than 6,000 such images, the U.S. Department of Justice said.
Robert Gozola, who was indicted on May 8, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Donovan W. Frank. In his agreement, Gozola admitted to distributing child porn over a peer-to-peer file-sharing network and sending images to an undercover police officer.
He also admitted to having thousands of images of child porn on his computer, which authorities seized in January.
Gozola faces a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison, with a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years behind bars, the department said.
