ALBERT LEA, Minn. (WCCO) — Authorities are investigating after a person was found dead on Albert Lea’s southwest side.

On Saturday, officers responded to an area of the Garden Villa Sub-Division. Upon arrival, the officers located a deceased individual.

The victim’s cause of death is unknown at this time.

The victim’s body was brought to the Dakota County Medical Examiner’s Office, which is standard procedure for unknown circumstances.

No more information is known at this time, pending the medical examiner’s results.
