MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minneapolis Police Department wants the public’s help in locating a homicide suspect from Missouri thought to be in south Minneapolis.

The Minneapolis Police Department Homicide Unit was contacted on Thursday by the Ferguson, Mo., Police Department help find Darnell Xavier Vaughn, 29. Vaughn is wanted for murder and is a suspect in at least one other homicide in the St. Louis area, police say.

Investigators believe Vaugh, who is a black male standing 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighing 200 pounds, was most likely in the south Minneapolis area Thursday afternoon.

Vaugh is thought to be armed and will pose a threat to anyone who confronts him, police say. If you have any information, call 911 immediately.
