MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Dinosaurs are coming to Valleyfair.
A nearly five-acre attraction featuring more than 30 life-sized creatures from the land before time will soon greet visitors near the front gate of the amusement park. They’re part of a $3.5 million expansion, which was announced Thursday.
The new multi-sensory and interactive dinosaur park, called Dinosaurs Alive!, will feature seven main scenes along a nearly 3,000-foot-long path to tell the stories of what dinosaurs ate, when and where they lived and how they adapted to their world.
Some of the dinosaurs have interactive consoles to allow guest to control their movements.
Also part of the expansion, Valleyfair will add a catering facility, new picnic pavilions and other amenities to accommodate groups.
