MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Police are trying to figure out what may have led a woman to drive her car into a pond in Golden Valley, Minn. The woman was found dead inside the vehicle.

Authorities say the woman was found on the east side of a pond near Winnetka Avenue and 23rd Avenue North. The vehicle was fully submerged.

Golden Valley Police Chief Stacy Carlson said the body of a deceased woman was pulled from the car.

A walker allegedly discovered the car around 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police are investigating the incident.
