MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say a family of six was able to get out safely after an early morning house fire in Minneapolis on Wednesday.
Fire crews responded to a report of a house fire on the 3800 block of Colfax Avenue at about 2:15 a.m. When authorities arrived, fire had gutted the back porch of the home and spread into the house.
Fire officials are investigating the blaze as suspicious, but wouldn’t go so far as to say it was arson. Two adults and four children were able to get out unharmed and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
