Lakeville Woman Dies In Dakota County Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 68-year-old Lakeville woman was killed and one other person was hurt in a crash in Dakota County Wednesday afternoon, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Authorities said the crash involved three vehicles and happened at about 1:53 p.m. on Highway 55 near the intersection of Highway 149 in Eagan. A 2010 Mini Cooper that the woman was riding in was headed eastbound on Highway 55 and was turning onto Highway 149 when it collided in the intersection with a 1997 Chevy Malibu that was stopped at a red light. The Malibu was in a southbound lane of Highway 149.
The woman, later identified by authorities as Sandra Brodin, was pronounced dead at the season. The driver of the car she was in, Dale Brodin, suffered minor injuries.
Authorities said the accident is still under investigation.
