Psychologist Talks On The Science Of Mindfulness

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — You often hear the saying, ‘things aren’t as bad as they seem.’ An Australian psychologist makes a living based on that principle.

Olivia Downing works with individuals and organizations in the Twin Cities on skills that help people think more positively. She calls it “mindfulness.”

“The simplest definition I’ve come across for mindfulness is ‘being aware of what is actually happening rather than what we think is happening,'” Downing said. She was a guest of Roshini Rajkumar Thursday on WCCO Radio.
