EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield missed practice on Thursday to attend his brother’s funeral.

Anthony Travis was murdered in Winfield’s hometown of Akron, Ohio, last week and laid to rest on Thursday. Winfield played in the season opener against Jacksonville days after the 30-year-old Travis’s death. Head coach Leslie Frazier says he expects Winfield back to practice on Friday and in the lineup on Sunday at Indianapolis.

Center John Sullivan also missed practice because of a sore ankle. Frazier says Sullivan initially injured it in the game against the Jaguars and aggravated it during practice on Wednesday. Frazier says the rest is just precautionary, and he fully expects Sullivan to play against the Colts.
