COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. (WCCO) — Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar is playing it safe at the St. Thomas/St. John’s football game in Collegeville.
She wore the color brown, as to not take sides, but found the St John’s boys trying to get into her good graces by holding up a sign, asking her to prom.
“In a very big way on a big sign, some of the St. John students that I met early on, that was pretty funny,” she said. “But then I think the sign somehow disappeared in the student section.”
Klobuchar called it an incredible game.
“It’s the ultimate college football game, on this beautiful day, with purple and red right next to each other,” she said.
She said there’s not a lot of political talk at the game.
Gov. Mark Dayton asked watched the game, too. Klobuchar said he wore both red and purple.
