MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Vintage No. 84 Vikings jerseys will undoubtedly be in the stands on Sunday as Randy Moss is back in Minneapolis one more time as part of the San Francisco 49ers.
Despite all the theatrics over the years, Moss was the man who filled the Metrodome stands back in 1998 during his rookie season.
After a year away from the game, Moss re-surfaced in San Francisco doing what he’s always done.
“They utilize him quite a bit, bring him in with different packages, and he has played well for them,” coach Leslie Frazier said. “He’s always motivated to play.”
Like or dislike him, there’s no one in the history of the Minnesota Vikings that you can compare to Moss.
Years ago, he was the man – always competitive and always complicated. He left on bad terms. But that was then.
“It’s been so long, it is what is,” Phil Loadholt said. “It’s part of the business.”
The legend still lives, and can still play.
“He’s still the threat he’s always been,” Harrison Smith said.
