SAVAGE, Minn. (WCCO) – Police who were investigating a small plane crashed along County Road 16 in Savage, Minn. Thursday morning now say it was a false alarm.

At about 11 a.m., police in Savage said they believed a plane crash near Quentin Avenue and McColl Drive.

However, after investigating the scene, now officers are saying that it looks like a plane was simply flying too low and that a concerned citizen contacted them believing the plane had gone down.
