MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 35-year-old man from Zimmerman was arrested Wednesday night after a disturbance led authorities to find he was possessing and selling drugs, according to the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office.
Jacob Knapik was arrested for fifth-degree possession, fifth-degree sale of a controlled substance and booked into the Sherburne County Jail.
Authorities were called to the 13000 block of 254th Avenue in Livonia Township at about 9:36 p.m. Wednesday on a report of a disturbance. When authorities arrived, they learned from people involved in the assault and witnesses at the scene that there was a marijuana growing operation at the residence.
Authorities searched the residence and seized about 30 marijuana plants, containers with dried marijuana and lights, fans and other items used to grow the drug.
Knapik was arrested without incident at the scene and booked into jail with criminal charges pending. The case is still under investigation.
