MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minneapolis Police are investigating after a man was robbed then shot in the face.
The robbery happened in an alley near 38th Avenue N. and Girard Avenue N. just after midnight Sunday morning.
“Some individuals were in a garage. Sounds like they were minding their own business, when one or two suspects entered the garage and robbed a couple of the occupants inside,” said Sgt. Steve McCarty, with the Minneapolis Police Department.
McCarty says one of the suspects was armed with a rifle. During the robbery the suspect shot one of the victims in the face.
The bullet grazed his cheek, and he was taken to North Memorial Hospital. He’s expected to survive and police continue searching for suspects.
