Police: No Leads In St. Cloud Punching Death

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) – St. Cloud Police are still asking for the public's help in locating the person who punched a 20-year-old Greenfield man, causing his death.

Police say they don't have any leads in the attack of Colton Gleason. Sgt. Jason Burke said it happened Thursday in an alley.

Burke says Gleason was walking with friends, when a car pulled up and one person got out and punched Gleason, causing him to fall and hit his head.

He died Friday from his injuries.

"It is believed they were either going to or coming from a party in the area. The occupants of the vehicle witnessed the assault and we are asking that they come forward," Burke said.

According to Burke, there were a number of young people in the car.

"Multiple people exiting the vehicle, including a female and several males, all late teens or early 20s, and a mix of Caucasian or African-American races," he said.

Burke said they don't know what provoked the attack.

Gleason was a 2010 graduate of Orono High School. His family is offering a $1,000 reward for anyone with information on the case.
