MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An apparent joyride for five teenagers in Wisconsin ended this weekend with all of them badly burned.
Police say the 17-year-old boys were throwing lit fireworks from their car as they drove in Sparta.
But one of the fireworks went off in the car, and it set off at least one other. The driver somehow made it to an emergency room.
Four of the hurt teenagers had to be flown to different hospitals for treatment. Investigators say all the boys had severe burns.
