1 Dead, 1 Injured In Motorcycle Accident In Wis.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A driver is dead and a woman was injured after a motorcycle accident involving an SUV on Tuesday.

The Sawyer County Sheriff's Department said they received the 911 call around 1:22 p.m. Tuesday. The accident occurred on Chief Lake Road in Sawyer County.

Authorities responded to the scene and found a woman injured. They say she was a passenger on the motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Occupants of the SUV suffered minor injuries and were checked out and released from a local hospital.

The accident is under investigation. Names are being withheld until family can be notified.
