MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The oldest male snow monkey in North America celebrated his birthday Wednesday at the Minnesota Zoo.

The 29-year-old Nikko lives at the Apple Valley zoo. Above is video of Nikko opening his birthday present.

Zoo officials say Nikko has lived almost twice as long as a typical male snow money because of his laid-back personality, which is not typical of male monkeys.

Just three other living snow monkeys in the world are older than Nikko, and they’re all female.
