ISANTI, Minn. (WCCO) – A road rage incident between two motorists led to a shooting in the Isanti Police Department parking lot on Saturday afternoon.

According to Isanti Police, a call came in at 4:05 p.m. to report a fight in progress in the east parking lot of the police department.

As officers walked outside to investigate, they heard a gunshot, and soon found a male victim who had been shot in the face by a handgun.

The victim was conscious, and was flown to Hennepin County Medical Center.

The road rage incident apparently began on Highway 65, and eventually led to the police station.

The suspect, a male, was arrested without incident, and is currently detained in the Isanti County Jail as he awaits formal charges to be filed.
