EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Vikings linebacker Erin Henderson is closer to returning from the concussion that has kept him out of the last two games.
Henderson had his helmet on for the beginning of Wednesday’s practice. Prior to the workout, coach Leslie Frazier said Henderson has passed some of the required tests and been cleared for limited activity on the field. He’ll be evaluated again Thursday. Marvin Mitchell has been starting at the weak side spot in his place, with Jasper Brinkley sliding over to take Henderson’s role in the nickel defense.
Not participating in Wednesday’s practice were defensive end Jared Allen (groin), wide receiver Michael Jenkins (rib) and backup safety Andrew Sendejo (ankle). Starter Mistral Raymond will miss at least another two weeks because of a bone bruise on his right ankle.
