Working For The Weekend: Entertainment Best Bets
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It’s Thursday, and that means it’s time to start planning your weekend. Halloween is just around the corner, so it may be time to get your scare on.
Not into that? How about a little German beer?
This weekend, head out to the state fairgrounds and celebrate German heritage at Twin Cities Oktoberfest. Traditional music, food, and games (Hammerschlagen) will provide a festive event for all. And there’s plenty of free parking.
Speaking of Oktoberfest, have you heard of Dogtoberfest? Saturday you can bring your dog out to Urbanimal in Minneapolis for live music, a dog friendly beer garden and brats. It’s a free event, and the first 100 dogs to arrive get a goodie bag.
Arguably the most terrifying haunted house in Minnesota opens the basement door Friday night. A team of artists have been working for months to create an experience that brings your worst fears to life. The setting alone is enough to make your skin crawl. Rumor has it the soap factory actually is haunted. Tickets are $22.
