MAPLE GROVE, Minn. (WCCO) — Being an artist is a skill some of us are born with, but others not so much.
Many out there want to try painting but are nervous about trying it unless they’re around other beginners. There’s a new spot in the Twin Cities now that offers classes to let those painters release their inner Vincent Van Gogh.
The Paint Pub in Maple Grove is unlike most paint studios in that it offers classes for those who are just starting to paint and need tips on how to put together that perfect canvas. The studio offers a two-and-a-half hour painting class and lets you relax with a beer or glass of wine.
The Paint Pub offers classes for groups of any age from adults to kids. They also offer corporate classes for team building exercises. Studio owners say you just have to show up, they have all the supplies from paint brushes to what types of paint to use depending on your work of art.
The cost of classes at the Paint Pub ranges from $30 to $40 depending on the night, which includes your canvas, paint brush, paint and basically everything people need to walk out with a finished product.
The Paint Pub also serves food to go with its beer and wine options.
