MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say four juveniles are in custody after an incident involving police at Walker High School on Wednesday.

According to a Lakeland News report, police were called to Walker High School on Wednesday on a report of a verbal altercation. When authorities arrived, one student stormed out of the school and a sheriff's deputy went out to talk to the student.

Police say the student body followed that student outside, and another officer arrived on scene in an attempt to detain a student. That's when another student ended up going at an officer. Four juveniles were taken into custody.

Police say no weapons were involved in the incident and nobody was tased.

School has been canceled the rest of the week for the Walker/Hackensack/Akeley School District, but officials aren't saying if it's related to Wednesday's incident. School district staff are being told to report for training, and classes throughout the district will resume on Monday.
