MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It’s Thursday, and that means it’s time to start planning your weekend! Homecoming week is in full swing at the University of Minnesota, but there will be blood nearby at Seven Corners, Washington Avenue and the Cedar/Riverside neighborhood.

It’s homecoming weekend at the University of Minnesota. Join in the celebration at the homecoming parade Friday at 7 p.m. It will travel down University Avenue, beginning at 15th Avenue and ending at Walnut Street Southeast.

Then grab your tickets to rapper and 6-time Grammy nominee BoB’s show. He takes the stage at TCF Bank Stadium right after the parade. Tickets start at $15.

Gopher Basketball All-Star Friday Night

While you’re on campus, stick around for Gopher All-Star Friday Night – the official start of the basketball season. You may know it as midnight madness.

You’ll see a two-ball shooting competition, three-point shooting competition, dunk contest and a scrimmage. Plus, you can pick up an autograph from your favorite gophers starting at 7:30 p.m.

Zombie Pub Crawl

Saturday the Zombie Pub Crawl returns from its fitful slumber to paint Minneapolis-St. Paul blood red. It will be crawling with bands, DJs and, of course, thousands of fiendish zombies craving brains.

New this year is Zombie Island at St. Paul’s Midway Stadium where DMX will perform. Tickets are on sale now for $22.99. They are $40 if you buy day of.
