ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Republican Rep. John Kline has a healthy bank balance for the final weeks of his race against Democrat Mike Obermueller.

Kline’s campaign said Friday he had $1.4 million to spend at the start of October, after raising $286,000 from late July through the end of September.

Kline has now raised $2.1 million this election cycle.

Obermueller has yet to report his fundraising for the period. Federal reports are due Monday.
