NORTH STAR TOWNSHIP, Minn. (WCCO) – A 53-year-old Cloquet man was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with a deer on Saturday afternoon.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s office, the accident occurred at approximately 2:21 p.m. in the 8100 block of Pequaywan Lake Road in North Star Township.

The motorcyclist was driving southbound when he stuck a deer crossing the roadway.

The man was not wearing a helmet. He was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
