MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — British playwright Christopher Hampton will be on stage at the Guthrie Theater in more ways than one.
Hampton joins Guthrie artistic director Joe Dowling for an on-stage conversation Monday night.
All three stages at the Guthrie are currently dedicated to Hampton’s work. The Minneapolis riverfront theater is showing Hampton’s “Tales From Hollywood” and his new historical drama, “Appomattox.” Another Hampton play, “Embers,” opened Friday.
Hampton won a screenwriting Oscar for adapting his play “Dangerous Liaisons” for the movies. He also was nominated for an Academy Award for his screenplay for “Atonement.”
