MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are investigating after a man was apparently stabbed near a light rail transit station on Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis early Wednesday morning.
Authorities were called to the scene near 5th Street and Nicollet Mall at about 2:45 a.m. When authorities arrived, a male victim had been stabbed and managed to get himself onto the light rail platform. The victim was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, and there is no update on his condition.
Police don’t have any suspects in custody at this time and are looking into what led up to the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Transit Police Department.
