MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It’s Thursday, and that means it’s time to start planning your weekend. This weekend, a real haunted house opens in St. Paul.

Plus, Mall of America is serving up scares and snow.

Real Haunted Tours

This Halloween, why settle for a fake haunted house? Try Real Haunted Tours. They’re back in St. Paul starting Friday.

Located in a 1920s historic building, the Historic Mounds Theatre is recognized as one of St. Paul’s most haunted locations by psychics and ghost hunters. For one hour, you will have two paranormal investigators walk you through the theatre in near darkness where you’ll learn the tales of resident spirits.

Minnesota Ski & Snowboard Expo

Are you just itching for that first snow and you’re chance to strap on your skis or snowboard? Satisfy your crave for the slopes this weekend at Mall of America for the 2012 Minnesota Ski and Snowboard Expo.

See the latest technology in equipment and try on this season’s hottest apparel and accessories. Kids can learn basic skiing skills on an indoor slope, and you won’t want to miss an aerial acrobatics show in the rotunda.

Everyone who goes gets a $10 gift card to Liftopia.com.

Nickelodeon Universe Blackout 2012

Also at Mall of America this weekend, you can experience Nickelodeon Universe in a whole new way.

It’s Blackout 2012 with unlit rides, black lights, fog, a live DJ, costume contests, glow in the dark airbrush tattoos and more. The unlimited ride wristband is $19.99.
