ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — Ethan Pow had two goals and an assist to help St. Cloud State rout Alabama-Huntsville 8-3 on Friday night in men’s college hockey.

St. Cloud State scored four times in the second period, including two from Pow, as the Huskies (1-2-0) turned a 2-1 lead into a 6-2 runaway. St. Cloud State is 8-0-0 all-time against the Chargers (1-1-1).

Cory Thorson had a goal and two assists, and Jonny Brodzinski and Nic Dowd added a goal and assist each.

Huskies goalie Joseph Phillippi faced only 19 shots and made 16 saves.

The Huskies put 38 shots on John Griggs, who made 22 stops. He came in with 88 saves in two games.

Alex Allan, Kyle Lysaght and Graeme Strukoff had goals for the Chargers.
