BEMIDJI, Minn. (AP) — Bemidji State goalie Andrew Walsh made 25 saves as the Beavers turned the tables on Lake Superior State, beating the Lake 5-0 in men’s college hockey.
On night after being shut out 2-0, the Beavers (1-1-0) outshot the Lakers (2-2-0) by a 29-25 margin and made the shots count.
Radoslav Illo had a goal and an assist. Bemidji State also got goals from Phil Brewer, Brance Orban, Cory Ward and Sam Windle.
Kevin Kapalka made 24 saves, including 12 in the first period.
It was still a 2-0 game heading into the third period before the Beavers scored three goals, two in a span of 54 seconds.
