MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A woman is being treated after her significant other shot her and then killed himself Friday night in Todd County, authorities say.

Officers responded to the shooting shortly after 7:15 p.m. in the city of Bertha, the Todd County Sheriff’s Office said. The suspect appears to have shot and wounded the woman before shooting himself.

An ambulance brought the woman to Tri-County Hospital before she was airlifted to the Hennepin County Medical Center. Her condition is not known.

The names of the suspect and the woman will be released Monday, the sheriff’s office said.

The shooting is still under investigation.
