MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It’s Thursday, and that means it’s time to start planning your weekend.
It’s not quite Halloween, but a lot of folks will be dressed up celebrating this weekend. Here are some places to get your scare on.
Edina Pumpkin Fest
If the kids want to trick-or-treat this weekend, dress them up and head to Edina. The 50th Street and France Avenue area is holding their annual Pumpkin Fest from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There’s also a costume contest, cake walk, horse trolley rides and an inflatable bounce house. This is a free event.
Grand Avenue is holding a similar event called BOO Bash. Families can dress up and walk Grand Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Pet Costume Spending
We didn’t forget your dogs, either. There are two great spots to dress up with your pup. The Wildlife Science Center in Forest Lake is having their annual “Howl-O-Ween” event from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Also Saturday, the Shops at Excelsior and Grand in St. Louis Park are doing “Woof n’ Treat.” Stop by between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. Both events are kid-friendly.
Rocky Horror Picture Show Screenings
If you’re a Rocky Horror Picture Show fan, you can see it on the big screen Friday and Saturday nights at the Uptown Theatre. It’s the longest-running midnight movie of all time. Costumes and interaction are welcome.
