OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Bemidji State scored twice in three minutes late in the second period to earn a 3-3 tie with Nebraska-Omaha on Friday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

Markus Gerbrandt netted the tying goal at 17:23 of the second period. Aaron McLeod had scored to pull the Beavers (1-1-1, 0-0-1) within a goal at 14:21. McLeod finished with a goal and an assist.

Bemidji State goalie Andrew Walsh had nine of his 39 saves in the third period and two in overtime. Nebraska-Omaha goalie John Faulkner had two stops in the third and two in overtime. He finished with 22.

Josh Archibald, Matt White and Johnnie Searfoss had goals for the Mavericks (2-2-1, 0-0-1).
