Vandalism Spree Hits Stearns Co.

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) – At least 20 cases of vandalism have been reported in Stearns County just this past week, according to authorities.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says that residents in Avon, Albany, Freeport, New Munich and Melrose have reported that their vehicle windows have been damaged by rocks, paving stones or similar items during the night.

In several of the cases, the vehicles were parked on public streets. Authorities urge residents to park their vehicles in driveways or well-lit areas if possible.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents are urged to call local police or Tri-County Crimestoppers at 1-800-255-1301. Callers to Crimestoppers may remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward.
