Contractor Falls To Death In Buffalo Lake

BUFFALO LAKE, Minn. (WCCO) – A 28-year-old contractor working on the expansion project of the grain elevator in Buffalo Lake fell to his death on Saturday morning, according to authorities.

The Renville County Sheriff’s office was notified at approximately 10:48 a.m. Saturday that the 28-year-old male victim fell approximately 60 feet from the grain elevator. He died from his injuries.

The victim’s name is being withheld to allow for notification of his family.

The Buffalo Lake Police Department, Renville County Sheriff’s office and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are investigating the accident.
